As Managing Director of The Right Translator, I take care of the day-to-day procedures of the company. I’m involved with customer acquisition and managing employees and freelancers. I have been a translator for years and I gladly provide some of the English-Dutch translations. I am fully committed to the best quality, from quotation to the end product, every single day.

As Quality Manager, I am responsible for final checks on translations. I create specific checklists to align the translations with the client’s needs. Avoid certain words? No problem, I will make sure the text is tailored to your needs! I also assist in project management, so I am always up to date with the latest developments on your projects.

My name is Marijke, in-house proofreader at The Right Translator. I mainly spend my time proofreading translations done by one or more of our translators. I check that everything is correct, that all style guides and glossaries have been followed and work with Max, the QM, to ensure that everything that goes out the door here is 100% correct.

As an IT Specialist, I support translators in implementing translated texts on websites, web shops and other IT-related matters, such as apps. I also rebuild websites so that they can display multilingual content without unnecessary hassle and discuss with our clients how best to go about things in terms of IT. In addition to my supporting work, I also manage IT at The Right Translator.

I work as a translator English-German at The Right Translator; my day-to-day focus is on supporting small and medium-sized businesses to enter the German market. Not only do I provide translations done to perfection, I also consult with the client on the nuances of the ’German customer’. For example, I am very familiar with the legal requirements for web shops in Germany, and I understand exactly what the average German website visitor does and does not appreciate.
Roan Poppe

As an in-house translator at The Right Translator I am busy translating and proofreading texts for all kinds of clients, varying from product texts for web shops to policy documents for large multinationals. My training and experience help me to bring even the most complicated projects to a successful conclusion, always following the client’s wishes closely, of course.

As a proofreader for The Right Translator, my job is to dot i’s and cross t’s, while keeping a close eye on style. I’ve been an independent freelancer since 2008, which makes me very versatile. I am currently (2023) pursuing a minor in Sustainability Studies at the Open University for a better understanding of the energy transition. My other specializations include human resources and corporate legal texts.
